Homemade Halloween Oreo Dupes

2 sticks unsalted butter-Softened  1 1/4 c sugar granulated * 1 tbsp vanilla   2 tsp salt * 2 eggs * 2 c All purpose flour   1 c black cocoa powder * 1/2 c unsweetened cocoa powder 1/2 tsp baking soda

Cookie  Ingredients

In a large bowl, sift all dry ingredients together: flour, black cocoa powder, regular cocoa powder & baking soda.

Cream together room temperature unsalted butter, sugar and vanilla extract.

Beat in the eggs, one at a time into the butter and sugar mixture.

Slowly mix in the dry ingredients. Mix until just combined.

Wrap in plastic wrap & refrigerate for at least 1/2 hour.

Roll dough out to 1/8 inch and cut with cookie cutters

Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or silpat mats.  Bake @ 325F for 12- 15 minutes

Beat butter until fluffy. Carefully add powdered sugar & mix until well combined. Add vanilla. Slowly mix in milk until you get a firm but whipped consistency.  Add more if necessary.

Pipe filling on  totally cooled cookies, leaving  1/8 inch border. Sandwich with matching cookie.
