Baked Corned Beef Brisket

Ingredients

  • Corned beef 2 lbs
  • Spice packet

Equipment

  • baking sheet
  • tin foil

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 275ºF.
  2. Sprinkle spice packet over corned beef and loosely wrap in tin foil.
  3. Place on baking sheet and bake on a lower level for 6 hours.
  4. Open foil and turn oven to broil and allow fat to cook off, approximately 3-5 minutes on the top rack, approximately 10 minutes on a lower rack. Watch it carefully so it doesn't burn!

  5. Optional: Turn oven to 350ºF and cook for another 30 min. I only do this step if I want it piping hot.
