Ingredients

  • 1 box Pepperidge Farms puff pastry
  • 1 egg beaten
  • .5 cup shredded parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon rosemary chopped finely
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

EQUIPMENT

  • 2 baking sheets
  • 2 silpats or parchment paper
  • small bowl for egg wash
  • pastry or basting brush
  • pizza cutter or knife

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400F.  Cover baking sheets with silpat or parchment paper.  Thaw puff pastry according to directions on the box.

  2. Whisk egg in small bowl, set aside.

  3. Unfold puff pastry sheets and use a knife or pizza wheel to cut 12 strips from the short side.

  4. Combine the parmesan cheese, garlic powder and rosemary on a plate, casserole dish or tray.

  5. Take one strip at a time: brush egg wash on both sides of the strip, lightly twist and roll the strip in the parmesan mixture and lay it on the baking sheet.  Press seems together as necessary.  Repeat with remaining strips.
