I love Halloween! I love everything about it: dressing up, candy, spooky treats, creepy decor. You name it. Keep it fun, light hearted, and creative! What’s not to love?

Up top is a little video I put together with Addison (9) and her sister Rylin (4). We made Spooky Deviled Eggs that were a blast to make but ended up looking like road kill. We had a great time and really, that’s what it’s all about. Right?

Witchfest 2017

My friend, Debbie (below on the right), has been hosting Witchfest at the Firefly Grill for the past 9 years. Without a doubt, this is her favorite holiday. And I have to say, she does Halloween like no one else! I look forward to Witchfest every year. Debbie’s enthusiasm and passion for the holiday has rubbed off on me and now it’s my favorite holiday too. Thanks Debbie!

There’s only one rule at Witchfest: Hats. Hats are mandatory. After that, anything goes! And I do mean anything!

A Witchfest Tornado

The tablescapes at Witchfest are always Spoooktacular!!!

Debbie goes all out on the table decorations and tripping out the Firefly Grill. Weeks prior to the event her house is strewn with tulle, glitter, paper, spiders, flowers — EVERYWHERE!!! Her beautiful dutiful daughters Kendall and Carson tease her that she’s turned them into Witchfest slaves. Witcher-ellas? Sorry bad pun. Then the night before Sami comes over to help and in the morning Debbie’s cousin Katie and her aunt Diane help with the finishing touches and set up. Whew!
